Chains Broken is a historical strategy and survival game about protecting a community, building resistance, and planning a path to freedom.

Manage daily work, gather supplies, build trust, and prepare secret escape routes while avoiding patrols and rising suspicion. Every person has different skills, health, fatigue, and resolve, so your choices affect who survives, who helps the community, and who is ready to escape.

Complete interactive mini-games for tasks such as picking cotton, cooking, teaching, sewing, scouting, and hiding supplies. Unlock new tools, disguises, contacts, and routes by successfully completing work and resistance activities.

When the time is right, attempt an escape through forests, rivers, marshes, mountains, coastal paths, or guarded roads. Each route has unique dangers, including patrols, checkpoints, tracking dogs, riders, rough terrain, and dangerous weather.
